20 Things I’ve Learned In My 20’s

Recently, I just hit my quarter year, 25. I’m halfway through my 20’s already and reflecting back it has been quite the journey and I have learned so much. For those that are still on their journey or maybe just starting to enter their 20’s, consider this a guide for you as you navigate the stormy seas of your 20’s.

Here’s my list of lessons:

1. Your stronger than you think you are
2. Not everyone is going to hurt you
3. Health truly is wealth
4. Travel far, wide & often
5. Money is best spent on making memories not material items
6. Always be your own health advocate. You can’t rely on your dr to have all the answers you know your body and what your feeling more than anyone
7. Your symptoms are your body’s way of communicating with you listen to them
8. If you rely on your doctor and put your faith in them to heal you, you will stay sick your entire life
9. You grow through what you go through
10. Anything worth having takes work (relationships, health, career etc..) but don’t ever give up
11. People will let you down & disappoint you the important thing is you don’t loose yourself
12. Do the things that scare you the most
13. You can’t control everything but you can control your actions & thoughts our minds are more powerful than we realize
14. If you wait for the right time you will waste your life waiting. The time has and will always be now
15. When in doubt dance it out. Blast some music & just go crazy
16. A simple hot shower can fix so much. Cold? Take a hot shower. Sad? Take a hot shower. Tired? Take a shower. Sick? Take a shower.
17. Sometimes nothing is the best thing you could say
18. Your going to have good days & bad it’s important that you learn from the bad & cherish the good
19. Pictures are our greatest asset to protect our memories from our aging brain
20. Magical things happen when you learn how to just relax & not stress about everything
